The next IWG will be held from 12 to 15 August 2024 in Darwin, Australia. Co-chaired by Australia and France, the IWG theme will be in line with the IONS Chairmanship theme of understanding our Blue Economy. Primarily the focus of the IWG will be to develop through discussion an IONS Guide on Maritime Trade Operations, also known as Naval Cooperation and Guidance to Shipping. Recent events in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden will be a topic of discussion.
